Work-at-home jobs are scams? 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
|
|

I'm trying to look for additional income where I can work from home. I've been seeing a lot of home-based jobs online, but kinda skeptical as I don't know if these employers are legit or not. How can I tell?

I've been looking at several home based jobs as well to supplement my retirement income. I'm just scared to apply because I don't know if they're legit or not. Most of those work-at-home jobs require you to pay a fee for additional information. I don't know why they would ask for payment for additional information? If you apply for a job, majority of the companies would provide the information regarding the position and would require a resume. I don't know why most of these work-at-home jobs don't need experience and don't even ask for a resume. How can I be sure that they're not a scam. Nowadays, people are getting desperate for money so I don't like entering any of my credit card or bank information online.

I've seen a lot of those home-based jobs too online, which sometimes can be very tempting. It will be nice to earn money while working from home. I've seen a lot of those google starter kit. But not sure if those are real? it says you can make a lot of money but you have to purchase that google starter kit. If you read the testimonials of people who bought that kit, they said it's unbelievable because they made tons and tons of money. It sounds too tempting, but I'm still a little pessimistic about it. Could it really be ask scam? I just don't want the fact that they ask for credit card info.

It's hard to tell if its scam but keep this in mind, "If it's too good to be true, it's a scam!"

Don't trust work at home jobs especially if it's from an email solicitation. Those are definitely scams. Most of these work at home scams mention that you won't need experience and they promise you big rewards, but take not they will ask you to pay an upfront fee.

Best thing to do is to research. Check the company's background. Call the Better Business Bureau to check if the company is legit or not.
